STA governance and constitutional reform

Science & Technology Australia have been undertaking a governance and constitutional modernisation review - a project we began in 2019.

Paused amid the pandemic in 2020, this major undertaking resumed in 2021 with a series of STA member consultation forums and a presentation to the AGM.

A survey of the STA Membership in May 2022 further assisted the reform working group to confirm our thinking and design proposals - which went to the STA Board in mid-June.

With the Board's approval, we are delighted to now present these proposals to the full STA membership.

With your support, our intention is then to move rapidly into the final phase of this work.

Below you will find a detailed overview of the proposed changes. It outlines a proposed new model, and how it aligns with the member feedback that has guided this process every step of the way.
