In our submission on the Quantum Strategy, STA argued for a comprehensive approach to quantum opportunities that further bolstered fundamental research, supported research infrastructure, and built a diverse, skilled and growing quantum workforce.

STA congratulates the strategy's author, Australia's Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley, and the expert advisory group on a plan to take advantage of Australia's world-leading quantum research and build a thriving future industry.

"Quantum is a revolutionary emerging technology that will transform our economy and society. The National Quantum Strategy is a strategic plan to maximise our advantage and position Australia as a quantum world leader," said STA CEO Misha Schubert.

"We are delighted the National Quantum Strategy will include a focus on supporting essential research and building a quantum-skilled workforce – they are both things Science & Technology Australia has long advocated for."
