Stadium screen is bigger and better

Campbelltown Sports Stadium now has a permanent big screen that is befitting of the region's premier sporting venue.

The 84m2 screen has been permanently affixed to the northern end of the stadium and will provide a bigger and better quality image than previous screens which were hired for events at the stadium.

"This new screen is reflective of our stadium's place as an iconic venue in the heart of our city," Mayor George Brticevic said.

"The stadium is hosting a series of NRL games over the coming months and will soon welcome Macarthur FC as a permanent home team in the A-League," Cr Brticevic said.

"The increased usage of the stadium as an elite sporting venue is reflective of Campbelltown's status as a proud sporting city and I'm proud that we're able to showcase our city through our world class stadium and playing surface," he said.

The screen was previously used at Canberra Stadium.

The stadium is one of three venues being used by the NRL in NSW for the resumption of the rugby league season and will host the Penrith Panthers and New Zealand Warriors on Friday night.
