This week has been about acknowledging the resilience and determination of our tourism sector over the past two years As we celebrate all the places, people and experiences that make Atlantic Canada a world-class tourism destination, I want to thank the many businesses and close to 120,000 workers who so passionately lift this industry.

"You have shown grit and creativity in adapting to the challenges of the pandemic. The Government of Canada is here to support the vision and pride of place that you bring to our communities. We are fully committed to supporting you as the region welcomes back guests and we prepare to put a difficult chapter behind us.

"For 35 years, ACOA has worked with business and community leaders to develop a sustainable and distinctly Atlantic Canadian approach to tourism. We want you to know we will continue to stand with you as our tourism sector forges ahead on the path to recovery.
