National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met today with Simon Coveney, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense of Ireland. They discussed their continued commitment to support Ukraine in the face of ongoing atrocities by Russia, as well as their ongoing coordination with international partners to impose severe costs on Moscow. They reviewed their efforts to provide security, economic, and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine; to support refugees and displaced persons; and to address the impacts of the war on global food security. They also talked about their countries' close cooperation on shared global challenges, including in the United Nations Security Council. They underscored their enduring commitment to the Good Friday Agreement and the importance of preserving political and economic stability in Northern Ireland.
