Leeton Shire Council is excited to present the 2025 Leeton Art Deco Festival, returning for its fifth iteration from 11–13 July. This highly anticipated winter event transforms Leeton into a living celebration of 1910s–1940s glamour, drawing visitors from far and wide to explore its iconic architecture, vibrant culture, and welcoming community.
"The Art Deco Festival has become a standout moment on Leeton's calendar," said Deputy Mayor and Portfolio Lead for Arts & Culture Cr Michael Kidd. "It's a celebration of our town's spirit and style, and an invitation to visitors to experience something truly unique during the winter months."
Spanning three days, the Festival delivers a rich mix of heritage, fashion, music, theatre and immersive experiences, including:
- Henry Lawson Live – Enjoy performances by Geoffrey Graham at the poet's cottage twice daily, with open house viewings from 10am–2pm.
- High Rollers Casino Night – A 1920s-themed evening at the Hydro Hotel with casino games, music and canapés, followed by a late-night afterparty at Circa 21.
- Chelmsford Town Square Revival – Vintage markets, live music, car displays and the crowd-favourite Soapbox Derby return in style.
- Gatsby Gala at the Roxy – Don your finest attire for this glamorous evening of jazz and performance. While dining tickets are sold out, dress circle seats are still available for the show.
- Sunday High Tea – The Yanco Institute hosts a delightful afternoon of tea, sweets, and dramatic comedy by local performers.
- RARE BIRD Ensemble's "Love & Forgetting" – An immersive theatre piece performed at the Hydro Bar.
- Cocktail Making, Dance & Circus Workshops – Learn to shake, spin and swing like it's 1925.
- Guided Heritage Walking Tours – Join expert Noel Thomson to uncover Leeton's Art Deco gems.
- Sunday Brunches – Choose between a buffet at the Hydro or French flavours at Pages on Pine, both offering Art Deco-themed menus.
- Wade Hotel x Hippo Co – A bespoke whiskey tasting returns for connoisseurs.
New in 2025, the program also includes:
