Stephen Burt print featured in online international exhibit

A print by Stephen Burt, M.F.A., chair and associate professor in the Department of Arts, is included in a collection now on exhibit at Common Street Arts in Waterville.

Burt's print "New Morning" is part of an exhibition of works by ten Maine printmakers in the latest round of an artist exchange program between Maine and its sister state in Japan. The Maine-Aomori Printmaking Society (MAPS) project started in the fall of 2015. The project aims to build two matching collections of prints of all the work produced or contributed to MAPS for future exhibitions, educational purposes, and posterity.

Common Street Arts in Waterville is hosting MAPS until July 18 as an online virtual exhibit, with the possibility of public hours toward the end of the exhibition run.

The show can be viewed online through the Common Street Arts website.
