A man has been arrested after police uncovered a significant amount of stolen property at a home near Victor Harbor last week.
On Monday 16 March, police attended a property at Hayborough and conducted a search. Police will allege a large quantity of stolen goods were located, along with illegal ammunition, a high‑powered laser, weapons and drugs.
During the search, police also located a vintage car buried in the backyard that had been reported stolen earlier this year.
A 38‑year‑old man from the address was arrested and charged with numerous offences, including unlawful possession, possessing ammunition without a licence and possessing a prohibited weapon. He was refused bail and appeared in the Victor Harbor Magistrates Court on Tuesday 17 March, where he was remanded in custody.
A number of items seized during the search have since been returned to their owners, however, police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the owners of three bicycles pictured below.
If you recognise or own any of these bikes, please contact Victor Harbor police by attending the station or calling (08) 8202 0970.
