Study support for more financial counsellors

We're continuing our partnership with the Salvos to increase the number of financial counsellors available to people experiencing hardship.

Building on the success of the program we will be offering five scholarships per year for the next two years for employees of the Salvation Army to study the Diploma of Financial Counselling.

The scholarships will ultimately ensure there are more people qualified to offer support and advocacy to assist people experiencing financial difficulty.

Silwati was one of the 2020 scholarship recipients and she intends to use her learnings to further support the members of her community who are facing challenges managing their finances.

We also work closely with The Salvation Army to inform how we support our customers experiencing social and financial hardship.
