Police are investigating the death of a 43-year-old man in Doomadgee on Sunday, 10 August.
Around 1.15pm, emergency services were called to the Nicholson River following reports of a man in the water.
Upon arrival, police located the man unresponsive, and he was later declared deceased.
The 43-year-old man was last seen in Doomadgee on 5 August.
Police are urging anyone with information or anyone who saw the man between the 5 to 10 August, 2025 to contact the Doomadgee Police Station on 47429090 or call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
Investigations are continuing.
