Sudden death investigation at Torquay

Queensland Police have declared a crime scene at Torquay following the death of a 75-year-old local man overnight.

Emergency services were initially called to The Esplanade around 7:50pm following reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers located the 75-year-old man unresponsive with serious injuries.

Emergency services attempted to revive the man, however, he was declared deceased at the scene.

A crime scene has been declared, and investigations are underway into the man's death.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who might've seen anything suspicious in the Torquay area overnight or may have relevant dashcam/CCTV vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
