While summer may have already technically ended, our water play spaces will remain open until the end of April.

As a reminder, Camden Council's two water play spaces include:

  • Dawson-Damer Water Play Space, which has a number of water and non-water activities, including water spinners, a ninja warrior course, swings, trampolines, basketball facilities, picnic areas and much more; and
  • Curry Reserve Water Play Space in Elderslie, which boasts a large splash pad with 36 play features for all inclusive, accessible fun for children of all ages.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said the joys of summer are still well and truly with us.

"We all know summer stretches a little longer in Camden - our locals love enjoying our water play spaces and outdoor facilities on beautiful sunny days that last well beyond February," she said.

"Both Dawson-Damer and Curry Reserve Water Play Spaces will stay open until the end of April, and our other play spaces remain open and operations as normal.

"I encourage our residents to enjoy the spaces close to them and make memories together. Before we know it, we'll be counting down the days until next summer!"

For residents looking to stay cool in a pool locally, Camden is home to three incredible leisure centres, including:

  • Oran Park Leisure Centre, which has an eight-lane, 50-metre Olympic swimming pool, an indoor heated program pool, a leisure pool with a toddler section, rapid river feature and more;
  • Mount Annan Leisure Centre, which has a heated indoor pool and outdoor pools, a 25-metre lap pool, a leisure pool, a program pool for aqua-aerobics, a splash pad, triple water slide tower, a state-of-the-art health club, a creche, a stadium for hire and a casual shoot around; and
  • Camden War Memorial Pool, which has a 50-metre outdoor pool, children's wading pool, a swimming lessons pool, disability pool and changeroom access.
