However, in the south, we've got a cold front gliding by Victoria and Tasmania. Not a lot of rain with this one, but there will be some wet weather. The main thing this is doing is bringing in some very chilly conditions from the southern ocean, and that cold weather is going to cause the snow level in Tasmania to drop fairly dramatically tomorrow.
Elsewhere around the country, it will be nice and sunny, including right across Queensland.
Another quite chilly morning in some places before a beautiful, clear, bright, and sunny afternoon. We might see a spot of cloud or two across the east coast, but blue skies for everyone inland. Temperatures are near seasonal, with a high of 25 in Brisbane, and Toowoomba a little inland at 20 degrees.
A similar story across New South Wales. After quite a chilly morning, it will be a bright, clear, and sunny day. We're looking at upper teens or low 20s across the east coast. We do still have some rivers at major flood levels through parts of the mid-north coast and upper Hunter, so caution is required in that area, but certainly no further rain is expected in those wet locations on Wednesday. In fact, the only chance of any rainfall at all is right down here in the south of the state. In the evening, a little wind change could bring a shower to southern districts south of Canberra, south of Wollongong, alongside some chilly winds down there.
There will be a bit of rain across Victoria, though. A little band of wet weather moving through in the morning, or if you live out in Gippsland, that will be in the afternoon. Not much rain is expected-just a couple of millimeters at most. But that little band will also bring in the chilly wind, so it will be a cool afternoon, even as skies brighten up. And that will head into quite a chilly night overnight between Wednesday and into early Thursday.
And we see that same pattern reflected across Tasmania as well. Morning rainfall could hit all parts of the state, including Hobart. That rain won't last through the day. It will clear up certainly for the east and the north, but it will get really quite cold through the second half of the day, and there will still be some more showers around the mountains. That cold weather will cause those showers to come through as snow. So anywhere above around 400m in the south and west of the state could see a few snow flurries during the day on Wednesday. And that could affect some of the higher alpine roads and passes through parts of Tasmania.
A little bit of rain is on the forecast for the morning hours in southern parts of South Australia. That could really mean anywhere from the southeast here, Mount Gambier, across Adelaide, all around the peninsulas, and even out towards parts of the west coast. But it's very light falls-just 1 or 2mm for all involved, if that much at all. That will clear up by about lunchtime. So the rest of the day is dry, clear, still a bit cloudy, and still a little bit chilly. No rainfall at all is forecast for areas that aren't near the south coast.
A bright and dry day is expected across almost the entirety of Western Australia, with just a couple of spotty little showers down along this coastline here. In Perth, we could see some morning fog, but that won't last long through the day. It will brighten up and become sunny across the capital, with a high of 19. It will be really sunny through inland and coastal areas right up the coast.
Across Australia's north, there may be a little bit of mist in the morning, but that won't last long. The sun arrives, gets into work, burns that mist away, and it becomes a nice, clear, dry season day. A nice sunset and a nice clear evening as well. A light easterly breeze is expected in most places-nothing too strong, nothing really to worry about there.
If you'd like to see how the rest of the week or even the weekend is shaping up, you can find your forecast on the Bureau's website and app, or check back here tomorrow. Thanks very much for watching.
