A Sunshine Coast resident is celebrating a significant windfall, having won more than $770,000 in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4399, drawn on September 16, 2023. The Queensland player held one of the seven division one winning tickets across the nation and walked away with $772,961.41. This marks the second division one win in the Sunshine Coast area in just two weeks, sparking excitement among local lottery enthusiasts.
The winner has opted for anonymity, leaving the public to speculate on how the prize money will be spent. The ticket was purchased at Noosa Office Choice on Poinciana Avenue in Tewantin.
Richard Rudledge, the store owner, expressed elation at having sold another division one winning ticket just months after a previous one in July. "Our customers have already started saying there must be something at play in our shop, but we’re just happy that we’re playing a part in changing someone’s life," Rudledge commented.
