Cessnock City Council has six Visa gift cards to give away as part of its ongoing 'Support Local' campaign.

For the month of May, the campaign will be focussing on the health sector across the Cessnock LGA, with the aim of supporting the incredible healthcare services available within our community.

Residents are encouraged to give a shoutout in 25 words or less to a health or aged care provider, medical centre, gym, sports facility, or sports retailer in the Cessnock LGA. To enter, simply post a photo of the business, the staff or a product you've purchased, tag them, and use the hashtag #supportlocalcessnock for your chance to win.

Six lucky winners will be selected at random to receive one of three $100 gift cards or one of three $50 gift cards.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Jay Suvaal is encouraging residents to show their support for our local health, wellness and fitness providers this May.

"Our local healthcare providers go above and beyond to care for and support our local community, and this competition is a wonderful opportunity to show how much we appreciate all that they do," said Clr Suvaal.

"There are so many fantastic businesses across the region who make a difference in people's lives every day, so join me in giving them a well-deserved shout-out this May."

The competition will run from 1 to 31 May 2024. Winners will be announced in early June via Advance Greater Cessnock's social media channels.
