The Australian Government's $3 million CHART program is continuing to stimulate community-run arts and heritage organisations as they recover from COVID-19.
The third batch of CHART program grants will see more than $136,000 flow on to support 47 projects being delivered by community organisations across Australia, including museums, galleries and historical societies.
Grants of up to $3,000 are supporting activities in regional and remote Australia that encourage cultural tourism through cultural expression and sharing stories of community and historical significance.
Activities funded under the third batch include the development of a public arts podcast, the curation and installation of art works depicting pre-colonial Australia, the conservation of a wedding dress worn in 1875, and number of multimedia upgrades to assist with capturing local history.
To date, the CHART program has delivered more than $504,000 to fund 178 projects that benefit local arts and heritage organisations across regional and remote Australia.
The CHART program is administered by the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) on behalf of the Government. Eligible community organisations are encouraged to apply, with applications open until 29 April 2022, or until funding is allocated, whichever comes first.
