Supporting Territory Firms to Enhance Safety, Reduce Crime

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government is continuing to deliver its common sense and comprehensive plan to lower crime by providing $8 million in funding for businesses to improve security.

Through the Business Growth, Resilience and Security package, Territory businesses will be able to access Bizsecure grants for items such as bollards, lockable fencing, security screens, stronger locks, trespasser alarms, sensor lighting, and secure window replacements.

Other safety improvements, such as CCTV or access fobs, need to be recommended through a free safety audit.

The $8 million funding for these initiatives to improve security and lower crime will be delivered over two years and will be included in this year's Budget.

Supporting businesses to improve resilience and reduce the impact of crime is a top priority for the Territory Labor Government.

This grant program comes on top of the extra $570 million that will be invested in the Northern Territory Police Force over five years to lower crime across the Territory.
