Demand for emergency food relief from BayCISS, Bayside Community Information and Support Service, has doubled in recent years.
With the end of the year and Christmas fast approaching, the organisation is calling for Bayside residents' help in assisting up to 300 households with seasonal food hampers and gifts for children.
The hampers will provide support to vulnerable and low-income households in our community.
You can assist by donating items ranging from canned goods, Vegemite and peanut butter to tea bags, nuts, popcorn and toiletries.
Between 10 November and 6 December, you can drop your festive donations at Bayside City Council Corporate Centre, Brighton Recreation Centre and all Bayside libraries.
Your donations will then be put together in hampers and delivered to local families in time for Christmas.
