Surveying for Cedar Party Creek Bridge replacement

MidCoast Council

Planning and development continues on the Cedar Party Creek Bridge replacement project, with surveyors beginning assessment of the area from 20 September for up to two weeks.

MidCoast Council's contractors will be surveying on and around Wingham Road and the Cedar Party Creek Bridge to assist in finalising the plans for the project which will see the bridge replaced on the existing alignment.

The roadway will be restricted to a single lane under traffic control while the surveying is being undertaken.

"We're pleased to be progressing with the delivery of this new bridge for the Wingham community," said Council's Director of Infrastructure and Engineering, Robert Scott.

"It's been a long time coming and it's an important part of the main entry to town. This survey work will bring us one step closer to finalising the investigation and design before we can start building."

Road users in the area should watch out for signage and changed traffic conditions, follow directions from traffic control and drive with caution.
