Police are appealing for dashcam or CCTV following reported suspicious behaviour in Brookfield on Thursday 4 June.
An 11-year-old girl has told police that she was approached by a man unknown to her around 4.30pm on Westridge Street.
It has been reported the man placed his hand on the girl's side, causing her to fall, before he returned to his vehicle and left.
Police believe a man described as in his 20s or 30s, Caucasian, with dark hair and last seen wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper may be able to assist investigations.
He was last seen driving on Rafting Ground Round in a white or light-coloured vehicle.
The girl is safe and well and the matter was reported to police later that afternoon.
Police are seeking for any members of the public that may have witnessed the reported incident or the man to come forward.
Investigators are also appealing for dash camera footage from either direction on Rafting Ground Road between Moons Lane and Winrock Street between 4.30pm and 4.50pm on Thursday 4 June.
