Wageningen University & Research (WUR) ranked third in the 2022 SustainaBul. This student ranking lists higher education institutes of the Netherlands according to their sustainability. .
The second place was for De Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam), while Van Hall Larenstein topped the list. The SustainaBul 2022 was presented during the sustainability event 'de Groene Peper' (the Green Pepper) at the Amsterdam University College.
WUR won the SustainaBul on six separate occasions. The lower position AUR achieved this year was mainly the result of a stricter evaluation of sustainability in the education vision and policy, as well as the monitoring thereof. Other topics in which WUR's scores were slightly lower are the approach to water usage and social sustainability with regard to inclusion and diversity.
