Swan Hill Finalist in 2026 Victorian Tourism Awards

Vote Swan Hill for 2026 Top Tourism Town Awards

Swan Hill has been officially named a finalist in the 2026 Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards, placing the region among the state's leading destinations and recognising its strong appeal to visitors across Victoria.

Mayor Cr Stuart King said the nomination reflects the strength of the region's tourism offering and the pride the community takes in showcasing the area.

"The Swan Hill Region has great attractions that put us on the tourism map, and what we really excel at is the visitor experience, with our warm country hospitality that makes people feel welcome the moment they arrive," Cr King said.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on our region, but we need the community's support. Every vote counts, and public backing will help us demonstrate just how special Swan Hill is."

The public vote is now open, and residents, businesses and visitors are encouraged to show their support, share the campaign with family and friends, and help promote Swan Hill across Victoria. Council in collaboration with Swan Hill Incorporated will continue rolling out promotional activity for the voting period.

The Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards recognise destinations that demonstrate a strong commitment to tourism, deliver outstanding visitor experiences, and work collaboratively with local businesses and community stakeholders to grow visitation and strengthen their tourism offering.

The Awards are presented across three categories. Swan Hill has been nominated in the Top Tourism Town category (population over 5,000). Additionally, categories include Top Small Tourism Town (1,500-5,000) and Top Tiny Tourism Town (under 1,500), celebrating the diversity of regional destinations across Victoria.

Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 26 June 2026. Community members are encouraged to get behind the campaign, share it widely, and help showcase why Swan Hill deserves to be named a Top Tourism Town.
