Wollongong City Libraries is looking to start a long-distance relationship this Library Lovers Day, Sunday 14 February. We’re encouraging Library members to download the Libraries’ new app to enjoy all their favourite resources from the comfort of their home.
Show your love this Library Lovers’ Day, by downloading the Wollongong City Libraries App to access thousands of free eBooks, eAudiobooks, watch films, listen to music and more, all from your own device.
Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said that the app is a great way for our community to bring a little piece of the Library home with them.
“With more people accessing entertainment online, Wollongong City Libraries’ is always looking for new ways to build on the more traditional Library services, such as borrowing or renewing a book and providing ways to explore the Libraries’ catalogue in a digital format. This helps our members make the most of what our Libraries have to offer,” said Cr Bradbery.
“The new Library app also allows people to explore a greater selection of digital resources from award-winning documentaries, to learning a language or listening to your favourite eAudiobook.”
With more than 18,000 users of the app, Library lovers can use their smartphone or tablet to access online resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, music, study help and more. Best of all the Library App is the perfect date for when you’re out and about and in need of some entertainment.
See a book you want to fall in love with? Use the app to scan the barcode to see if it is available at our Libraries and you can reserve it straight away.
“The past year has shown how important accessibility of resources are for our community. We want to make sure everyone has access to our wonderful Library services, even if they can’t always physically attend our facilities,” said Cr Bradbery.
“It’s never too late to learn something new, try a new skill or simply enjoy a great read. I encourage everyone to download the app and explore the range of resources available for free with just the touch of a button.”
