Sydney Writers' Festival At Bayside

Bayside Council is proud to partner with Sydney Writers' Festival to present two special author talks in Bayside this May.

Acclaimed French novelist Alexandra Lapierre will talk about her novel The Very Secretive and Passionate Stella Miles Franklin inspired by the extraordinary life story of Australian author Miles Franklin.

Miles Franklin, author of My Brilliant Career, returned to Australia in 1932 and lived the remainder of her life in Carlton where she entertained literary figures.

Join Alexandra for a rich conversation about the Miles Franklin's life, work and enduring legacy, with Belinda Castles at Shopfront Theatre on Sunday 12 May.

Award-winning author Kathryn Heyman joins Jane Caro for an uplifting conversation about life, loss and human resilience and her new book Circle of Wonders on Saturday 23 May in the Rockdale Town Hall.

Kathryn Heyman is an internationally award-winning author of seven novels, as well as a poetry collection, a memoir and several radio dramas for the BBC.
