Taskforce Falcon Charges Two in Crime Boss Murder Plot

Taskforce Falcon have charged an additional two men after foiling an alleged plot to kill a prominent organised-crime figure.

About 3pm on Friday 26 September 2025, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command noticed a grey BMW sedan with cloned plates on Columbine Avenue in Bankstown.

The driver was allegedly wearing a hooded jumper pulled over his face and a surgical face mask.

When police approached the vehicle to speak to the driver, he allegedly took off from the scene at speed.

A pursuit was initiated through Bankstown and Padstow; however, terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.

During a canvass of the area, police allegedly found a loaded handgun discarded on Fairford Road.

The BMW was found abandoned about 3.40pm on Beaconsfield Street in Revesby and both items were seized for further forensic examination.

After providing the initial response, local police referred the investigation to State Crime Command's Taskforce Falcon under Strike Force Encantado.

Detectives uncovered several parties allegedly involved at various stages of planning the intended murder, including in the setting up of staged vehicles, surveillance on the target, the planning of getaway drivers, as well as those coordinating the hit.

Last month, strike force detectives charged four males who remain before the courts.

Following further extensive inquiries, about 9.50am on Thursday 30 April 2026, strike force detectives arrested a 23-year-old man in Silverwater.

He was charged with conspire and agree to murder any person, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly and drive conveyance taken without consent of owner.

The man was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Local Court 6 on Friday 1 May 2026.

About 8.30am yesterday (Monday 11 May 2026), strike force detectives arrested a 28-year-old man in Sydney.

He was charged with conspire and agree to murder any person, possess unregistered firearm-pistol, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.

The man was refused bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 21 May 2026.

Police will allege the final two men charged were in the car on Friday 26 September 2025 and discarded the handgun.
