Taskforce Falcon: Two Juveniles Charged in Stabbing Plot

Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged two teenagers for an alleged conspiracy to commit a stabbing.

About 9.20am (Thursday 12 June 2025) police responding to an alleged public place shooting in Merrylands were called to a crash in Greystanes.

Police were told a Ford Territory had allegedly been driving erratically before crashing on Prospect Road.

The male passengers of the car, two 17-year-olds, were detained by citizens before police arrived and placed them under arrest.

During a search of the car, police located and seized four knives, four pairs of gloves, two balaclavas, and a jerry can containing petrol.

The teens were taken to Blacktown Police Station, where they were charged with take & drive conveyance without consent of owner, accessory before the fact to damage property by fire/exp >$15000, custody of knife in public place and participate in a criminal group.

Further investigations into the teenagers' reason for being in the area revealed they had allegedly agreed to carry out a stabbing in Greystanes.

It will not be alleged they had any involved in the Merrylands shooting.

About 8am yesterday (Tuesday 22 July 2025), task force detectives arrested a 17-year-old male in Guildford.

He was taken to Granville Police Station, where he was charged with attempt wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempt assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group.

The teen was refused bail and appeared in a children's court yesterday where he was formally granted conditional bail.

About 11am, detectives attended Penrith Police Station where they arrested another 17-year-old male.

He was charged with attempt wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempt assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group.

The teen was refused bail to appear in a children's court on Thursday 21 August 2025.

Police will allege in court that after the teenagers' plans were foiled, two other teenagers carried out the stabbing on Tuesday 24 June 2025.

Those two teenagers remain before the courts.
