Tasmanian Government

The latest NAB Quarterly Business Survey has Tasmania first for confidence and conditions.

Treasurer Eric Abetz welcomed this latest news.

"Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we're working hard to support Tasmanians and their businesses," the Treasurer said.

"The 2026-27 Budget, which passed Parliament today, backs this approach, providing the confidence and conditions our businesses need to thrive.

"Despite challenging national and international economic headwinds, Tasmania's business confidence and conditions remain the highest in the nation.

"This is the sort of news we need as our employment market is beginning to soften.

"We recognise the challenges Tasmanians are facing and that's why we continue to back Tassie jobs and our business sector."
