Up to $100,000 in funding is now available to Tasmanian RSL sub-branches and ex-service organisations as part of the Tasmanian Government's 2025-26 Teddy Sheean VC Memorial Grants Program.
Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Gavin Pearce, said the Teddy Sheean VC Memorial Grants Program pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice made by Tasmanian sailor Edward 'Teddy' Sheean VC.
"This latest round of the program will provide greater assistance in the repair of war memorials, construction of new memorials, and support the health and wellbeing of our veterans," Minister Pearce said.
"This year's fund allocations have been increased to acknowledge the costs of providing services to veterans by ex-service organisations.
"Through this grants program we honour Teddy's sacrifice, and that of all our fallen diggers who selflessly gave their lives in the defence of our country.
"Through our Government's 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, our Government will continue to back in our veterans."
The Grants Program will provide grants of up $20,000 for minor capital works, and/or refurbishment, $10,000 for equipment purchases for RSL cubs, sub-branch and ex-service organisations, and up to $10,000 towards the repair and maintenance of war memorials, and construction of new memorials.
Grants of up to $10,000 will also be available to eligible organisations for initiatives to support the health and wellbeing of veterans.
Applications are now open and close on 16 October 2026.
