Some of Tasmania's best senior sports men and women have returned after competing at the 2025 Australian Masters Rowing Championships in Sydney.
The national regatta attracted Tasmanian competitors from Lindisfarne, Mersey, North Esk and Ulverstone.
Minister for Sports and Events, Nick Duigan, congratulated the competitors who battled it out over four days.
"Tasmania was well represented at the Australian Masters Rowing Championships, which is a reflection of the world-standard facilities we have here in Tasmania for competitors to train," Minister Duigan said.
"It was good among the results to see Tasmanians pick up gold in the Men's 8 43 years and older, the Mixed Pair 60 and older, Men's 4 70 years and older, silver in the Interstate Men's 4 50 and over and the Interstate Men's 8, 50 and over, finish third.
"There were excellent results achieved by Tasmanian rowers who teamed up with others from around the country to compete.
"A big cheer to my fellow Parliamentarian Shane Broad who won gold in the Division 2 Mixed Masters Pair 55 years and over, silver in the Men's Sculls Pair and Men's Coxless Pair 50 years and over, as well as bronze as a member of the third placed Men's 8 and who finished third in the Men's Coxless 4s 50 and over final in the Lindisfarne/Mersey team, just one place behind Tasmania's North Esk team in the same race.
"Whether it be on the water, on the track or out on the field, Tasmanians punch well above their weight in the sporting arena.
"Congratulations to all of these competitors and their coaches for their efforts on a national stage."
