Foodies heading to TASTE Camden in a few weeks will have the chance to win a delicious prize package, meet guest chef Justine Schofield and watch her whip up three flavour-packed dishes.
TASTE Camden will return to Camden Town Farm on Sunday 20 September, 12-5pm, serving up an afternoon of food, entertainment, family fun and plenty of opportunities to get involved.
A highlight of the day will be the Chef Central demonstration stage, where this year's guest chef, beloved TV cook and bestselling author, Justine Schofield, will share her passion for simple, seasonal and delicious cooking.
There will be three opportunities to see Justine in action, with recipes guaranteed to have mouths watering:
- 12.30pm - Cheesy Chilli Bean Burrito;
- 2pm - Crêpes Suzette; and
- 3.30pm - Spaghetti with Zucchini and Pancetta Cream.
For those who love a little friendly competition, attendees who watch one of Justine's demonstrations can go into the draw to win a special prize package. It will include a signed copy of Justine's cookbook, Cook Ahead, and a Kenwood Chopper and Grinder among other goodies.
To enter, attendees simply need to visit Chef Central, watch a Justine Schofield demonstration and ask a Camden Council staff member for a free raffle ticket.
Justine will also be meeting and greeting attendees between her demonstrations, giving fans the chance to say hello and meet one of Australia's most loved food personalities.
Beyond the Chef Central stage, visitors can explore more than 60 food and market stalls, enjoy live entertainment and take part in a huge range of free activities, including giant yard games, face painting, a photobooth, kids' craft and food workshops, roving entertainment and a fire truck.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said TASTE Camden was the perfect opportunity to enjoy great food while experiencing something a little different.
"TASTE Camden is all about bringing people together over great food, and this year we've got even more reasons for food lovers to join us," Cr Fedeli said.
"You'll have the opportunity to pick up some delicious local produce, discover a new favourite food stall, learn some cooking tricks from Justine Schofield and just enjoy a fantastic day out with family and friends."
