Teacher charged after driving at students

A teacher has been charged after he allegedly deliberately drove a car towards students at a high school in Sydney's south-west yesterday.

Police will allege a man drove towards the students several times while they were playing basketball at the high school in Cabramatta about 3.20pm (Tuesday 17 December 2019). The students had to move to avoid being hit.

Following inquiries, officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended a Casula home and arrested a 30-year-old man.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he was charged with take action that results in emotional/intellectual damage and intimidation.

The Casula man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court (Thursday 30 December 2020).
