A teacher will appear in court today charged over the sexual assault of a student in Bowral last year, NSW Police say.
On Monday 23 October 2017, police received information that a 17-year-old female student had been sexually assaulted by a male teacher in Colo Vale on Friday, 31 March 2017.
Detectives from The Hume Police District commenced an investigation culminating in the arrest of a 37-year-old man yesterday (Thursday 12 July 2018).
He was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where he was charged with aggravated indecent assault (person in authority) (x2), aggravated indecent assault (person in authority) (x3) and sexual intercourse with child between 16 and 18 under special care.
He was refused bail and will appear in Goulburn Local Court today (13 July 2018).
