Teen arrested following aggravated burglary and robberies investigation

Taskforce Wayward investigators have arrested a teenager this morning following an investigation into a Tarneit aggravated burglary last month, Victoria Police say.

It’s alleged four youths ransacked a Habitat Court home, producing a machete and assaulting a woman, before stealing her car on 17 August.

Police executed a search warrant at a Point Cook home about 8.00am this morning.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

It’s alleged the man was involved in a number of other incidents earlier this month:

1. A robbery on Maple Crescent, Hoppers Crossing on 2 September

2. An armed robbery on Camara Street, St Albans on 12 September where a knifed was allegedly produced.

3. A robbery on maple Crescent, Hoppers Crossing on 17 September.

He is currently assisting investigators with their enquiries.

Police also seized several electronic devices during this morning’s search.

A 17-year-old Tarneit boy was also arrested and charged on 6 September in relation to the aggravated burglary and is currently before the before the Children’s Court.
