Teen Arrested for Break-In, Theft in Orange

Police have arrested and charged a teenager with a number of break and enter and steal offences in the state's central west earlier this month.

Between 10pm on Wednesday 28 December 2022 and 7am on Thursday 29 December 2022, police received a report of a break and enter at a home on Sunny South Crescent, Orange, where a Kia Carnival was stolen from the driveway.

About 3.30am on Sunday 1 January 2023, a Corolla sedan was stolen from the driveway of a home on Torulosa Way, Orange.

Between 5am and 7am on Sunday 8 January 2023, police received reports of a break and enter at a home on Betts Place, Orange.

Between 3am and 5am on Thursday 12 January 2023, police received reports of a break and enter at a home on Dairy Hill Place, Orange, where a Kia sedan was stolen from the driveway.

Officers attached to Central West Police District, conducted inquiries and executed a search warrant at a home on Oxley Place, Orange, about 2pm today (Friday 13 January 2023).

Police will allege a number of stolen items were located during the search.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Orange police station. He was charged with two counts of aggravated break and enter in company, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and enter enclosed land without lawful excuse.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court in Parramatta tomorrow (Saturday 14 January 2023).

Investigations are continuing.
