Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a teen following a serious multi-vehicle traffic crash at Greenslopes yesterday morning, 22 February.
At 4.13am, it is alleged a stolen black Chery Tiggo wagon was involved in a traffic crash with a white Toyota Camry and a silver Mazda utility on the Pacific Motorway.
A 17-year-old boy, the alleged driver of the stolen vehicle, sustained a serious leg injury and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
The 40-year-old male Toyota driver and 30-year-old male Mazda driver were also transported to hospital as a precaution.
Police will further allege the Chery Tiggo was stolen from a Capalaba shopping complex on Monday, 16 February.
The 17-year-old Alexandra Hills boy has since been charged with three counts of stealing, and one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of motor vehicle – publish on social media, receiving tainted property, and learning to drive must be properly supervised.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear before the Cleveland Childrens Court on 2 March.
