A teenage girl will face court after an elderly woman was allegedly assaulted on a public transport in Sydney's west.
About 8am on Tuesday 23 September 2025, emergency services were called to North Parade, Rooty Hill, following reports of a woman was assaulted on a bus.
On arrival, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command located an 81-year-old woman with serious facial injuries.
Police were told she was involved in an argument with a girl on the bus before the teenager assaulted the woman and left the scene.
She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to a hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene was established and officers from Police Transport Command were called to commence an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, about 3pm yesterday (24 September 2025), a 15-year-old girl was arrested at St Marys Police Station.
She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The girl was granted conditional bail to appear at children's court on Thursday 2 October 2025.
