Teenage girl arrested after crash in stolen car at Seven Hills

A teenager has been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a tree at Seven Hills overnight.

Shortly after midnight (Tuesday 16 March 2021), emergency services were called to Best Road, near Ross Street, Seven Hills after reports a Jeep Grand Cherokee had crashed into a tree.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area command attended the scene and arrested a 16-year-old female who is believed to have been driving the car.

She was taken to Blacktown Police Station where she is assisting police with inquiries.

Three passengers were seen getting out of the car and running from the scene. A search of the surrounding area was carried out with the assistance of the Dog Unit and Polair, however, no one was found.

Initial inquiries suggest the vehicle was stolen from an address at Avalon Beach on Tuesday 2 March 2021.

Inquiries are continuing.
