Teens Charged After South-East Pursuit

Police have charged three teenagers alleged to have evaded police through the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne this morning.

The trio was first spotted by Operation Trinity units allegedly driving a vehicle bearing stolen registration plates, in Mons Parade Noble Park about 12.45am.

Police attempted to intercept the Mazda BT50 utility before it allegedly sped off.

The Air Wing tracked the vehicle, which travelled through the suburbs of Noble Park, Dandenong, Hallam, Narre Warren, Officer, Tynong, Garfield and Bunyip, before it was dumped near a football reserve in Collette Street in Longwarry.

The trio allegedly ran from the scene but were tracked down by a Dog Squad member and arrested.

A 13-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy from the Baw Baw area, as well as a 15-year-old girl from the La Trobe area have each been charged with theft of motor vehicle, failing to stop under police direction and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.

All three were bailed to appear at a children's court at a later date.
