The Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), the Honorable Mélanie Joly; the Member for Rouyn-Noranda-Témiscamingue and Minister for the Economy and Small and Medium Enterprises, Daniel Bernard; the Member for Abitibi-Ouest and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister for the Regions of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Suzanne Blais; and Investissement Québec are announcing financial support for Témisko. Located in Notre-Dame-du-Nord, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, this business specializes in the manufacture of custom-built semi-trailers for the industrial and commercial sectors.

With support totalling $2.7 million from the Government of Quebec and Investissement Québec, as well as financial assistance of $676,117 from the Government of Canada, this manufacturing SME will be able to acquire two new laser cutting tables, a computer numerical control tower, and a machining centre. Valued at $4.7 million, this project will enable it to create up to 15 jobs and increase its local production capacity.

By supporting a well-established local business, the governments of Quebec and Canada reaffirm their commitment to supporting the competitiveness and productivity of Quebec SMEs and regional economic development, including in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
