We're starting construction on the Templestowe Route Upgrade on Monday 30 June 2025.
All businesses at the Templestowe Village will remain open and accessible throughout the works, with clear pedestrian and road detour signage in place.
What is the Templestowe Route?
The Templestowe Route is a series of connecting roads in Templestowe, including Parker Street, Swilk Street, James Street and Anderson Street. It's commonly used by local residents and drivers travelling to Templestowe Village and surrounding suburbs.
Why is it being upgraded?
Several safety issues have been identified with Templestowe Route, including poor drainage and inadequate facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
This upgrade will improve safety for all road users, while also enhancing the vibrancy of Templestowe Village by creating more connected and inviting public spaces.
Upcoming works
Over the next 18 months, we will deliver 4 stages of works to upgrade Anderson Street and Parker Street.
