Tender has been awarded for Withers Road Reserve

Withers Road Reserve Plan

Council is one step closer to the completion of the new Withers Road Reserve, having awarded the construction tender to Civilscape Pty Ltd, at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday, February 8, 2023.

The new park will provide a range of informal recreation opportunities for residents and a great space to gather as a community.

The park will feature a range of facilities including:

  • A natural theme playground with shade sail, catering to a wide range of age groups and abilities
  • A ½ basketball area
  • Gathering and picnic areas
  • A turf kick-about area
  • Concrete pathways throughout the site including a loop track around the playground suitable for bikes and scooters
  • Security lighting in the main play space area

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi said that he is excited to see yet another park and play space be added to The Hills Shire.

"Once complete, this park will provide a great open space for the residents of all ages to gather," Mayor Gangemi said.

"Whilst there may be some minor disruptions to the area during the establishment of the reserve and playground, the end result will offer the community a great local space for enjoyment," Mayor Gangemi added.
