Tenders for major kindergarten upgrades

Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Education and Training

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is committed to investment in education infrastructure across Tasmania and the 2019-20 State Budget invests $184.2 million for schools across the state.

A significant capital works project tender has now been advertised for construction of new kindergarten facility at Glenora District School.

Tenders have also recently been awarded for new kindergarten facilities at Rosetta Primary School with major refurbishments of the kindergartens at Brighton and Ringarooma Primary Schools.

The work is part of a $15 million funding package that was announced last year to go towards new and upgraded kindergartens across Tasmanian Government schools.

This project is part of the Government's commitment to ensure students and staff have the best environments possible to learn and work.

This targeted investment in education, from birth through to year 12 and beyond, will ensure Tasmania has a job-ready generation of young people with the skills to participate in a modern economy.
