Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews will remain on scene throughout the day patrolling a bushfire burning in the vicinity of Kanyan Road and Strawbridges Road, Theebine. Crews will be conducting backburning operations in an effort to contain the blaze. The fire is posing no threat to property at this time. Thick smoke may affect the area throughout the day and into the evening. Residents should close windows and doors and keep their medications close by if they suffer from a respiratory condition. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000).
