Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle which was burnt out in Springvale last month, Victoria Police say.
It is understood two men stole the 1993 Nissan Skyline from outside an apartment building on Lats Avenue in Carrum Downs on 26 February.
The same vehicle was found completely destroyed by fire two days later in Springvale.
Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The first man is perceived to be Caucasian, aged between 20-30 years old, medium build, clean shaven, brown hair, wearing a black baseball hat, black t-shirt, beige shorts and black backpack and black runners.
The second man is perceived to be Caucasian, aged between 25-35 years old, medium build, dark moustache, a long sleeve tattoo on his right arm and was wearing a black t-shirt, grey/blue baseball cap and white and black runners.
Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
