Theft from Seaford car wash, South Australia

Police are investigating after a patrol car was rammed at Seaford this morning.

Police attended a car wash on The Parade at Seaford at 7am on Thursday 5 August after a report that someone was trying to break into a coin machine.

The patrol arrived within minutes and located a black Mercedes sedan at the car wash. They quickly positioned the patrol car in front of the vehicle and it was rammed by the black Mercedes as the offenders attempted to flee.

The Mercedes drove off and was briefly pursued until police lost sight of it on Eric Road, Old Noarlunga.

Thankfully, neither officer was injured during the incident. The patrol car sustained minor damage.

Investigations are continuing to locate and identify the male driver and female passenger.
