Theft of heavy machinery in Clayton

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following the theft of heavy machinery worth an estimated $200,000.

Investigators have been told unknown offenders arrived at the Nantilla Road business in a large white truck on 21 February sometime between 1am-4am.

The offenders have cut through several chain link fences and removed the GPS trackers for several vehicles.

The vehicles stolen were two Caterpillar excavators, a Caterpillar bobcat and the scoop/bucket for a bobcat.

The truck is described as white with a horizontal stripe running along both sides.

Detectives have released images of the stolen vehicles and the white truck used during the theft.
