Police have charged a ninth person with murder as part of ongoing investigations into the death of a 21-year-old man in Bahrs Scrub in July.
On 26 July 2026, around 2.16am police were called to a disturbance in Discovery Boulevard, Bahrs Scrub.
As a result, police located a 21-year-old man unconscious and suffering significant head injuries.
He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but later passed away from his injuries.
On 6 August, detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Investigation Unit, charged four men with murder and one man with contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
On 9 August, detectives arrested and charged another four men with murder.
Following extensive investigations, detectives have today charged a ninth person, a 17-year-old Inala boy, with murder.
He will appear in Beenleigh Childrens Court tomorrow, 17 September.
Detectives from Logan CIB and HIU continue to thank members of the community for the significant assistance, cooperation and support provided throughout the investigation.
Police particularly acknowledge residents, community leaders and representatives who have worked with investigators and encouraged members of the community to come forward with information.
