Third Man Charged After East Melbourne Aggravated Burglary

North West Metro Regional Crime Squad detectives have charged a third man following an alleged aggravated burglary in East Melbourne on 4 September.

Detectives from Taskforce Hawk also assisted with today's charges, after information about the alleged offending was located during a separate unrelated investigation into criminality linked to the construction industry.

This follows the arrest of three men and a woman last month after a spate of offending across various Melbourne suburbs.

A 49-year-old Essendon North man has been charged with attempted aggravated home invasion, burglary, intentionally cause injury and unlawful possession of a radiocommunications device.

He has been remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
