Third-Party Report Reveals Ex-Employee Misconduct

Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University

Last year, an incident of misconduct involving a former employee of the university arose. In response, OIST determined that a thorough investigation into the causes and impact of the case was necessary and established a Third-Party Investigation Committee on January 31, 2025.

On June 12, the university received a report from the Third-Party Investigation Committee. The report is available in the attached document, Investigation Report (Public Version). Please note that certain portions of the report have been redacted by the Third-Party Investigation Committee to protect personal privacy and confidential information.

The English version to be published is the investigation report received by OIST from the Third-Party Investigation Committee, which has been anonymized by OIST. The committee has given its approval for OIST to carry out the anonymization process.
