Three Charged After Drug, Firearm Seizure in Liverpool

Three men are facing court charged after drugs and firearms were seized following two search warrants in Sydney's southwest.

In March 2026, investigators attached to Green Valley Region Enforcement Squad commenced an investigation into the alleged manufacture of firearms in exchange for prohibited drugs.

Following extensive inquiries, officers executed search warrants at two homes on Charles Street, Liverpool on Thursday 2 April 2026, allegedly locating and seizing a number of handmade firearms and cannabis at the first home and 14 grams of methylamphetamine and a prohibited firearm at the second.

Two men, aged 31 and 55, were arrested at the address and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The younger man was charged with supply firearm to person unauthorised to possess, possess unregistered firearm prohibited firearm, and goods suspected stolen in or on premises (not motor vehicle).

The older man was charged with possess unregistered firearm - prohibited firearm, goods suspected stolen in or on premises and possess prohibited drug.

Both men appeared at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 1 April 2026 and are due to reappear at the same court on Wednesday 15 April 2026.

Following further inquiries, yesterday (Tuesday 7 April 2026), officers arrested a 55-year-old man at a Charles Street address.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity and possess unauthorised firearm.

The man appeared at Liverpool Local Court yesterday where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
